Brassic Calls it a Day with Influenced by Tarantino Finale

Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are wrapping up on their comedy series about a tight-knit bunch of endearing rogues running riot in a rural Lancashire town. One could anticipate the last episode to be a greatest hits victory lap of alcohol, substances, and playful theft. However, the atmosphere turns much more somber as Vinnie (Gilgun) and the crew barricade themselves in a pub with gangster Davey MacDonagh for a final 50th installment apparently inspired by the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

Dragons’ Den

8pm on BBC One
Dancers from the ballet world enter the den this week, as mothers Laura and Stacey present their line of inclusive dancewear – and cause Peter Jones to become flustered. Next, an eye surgeon turned inventor has a clever gadget for lost tape ends.

All Creatures Great and Small

9pm on Channel 5
The animal-related escapades are generally good, but this excellent historical series proves its worth with tender character work. A particularly affecting episode intertwines the tales of a injured draft horse and a missing young cow into a deeper plotline centring on the character Tristan, whose behaviour prompts a fraternal intervention.

The Drama The Hack

9pm, ITV1
The journey has been lengthy. But the penultimate episode of this at first slow-moving but ultimately compelling series about phone hacking sees Nick, portrayed by David Tennant discovering details about the actions of the News of the World that the other media outlets simply can’t ignore. Things are also looking up for Dave, who has a surprising new ally.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK

9pm, BBC Three
Prepare for enthusiastic gestures: it’s time to stage Peter Pansy – The Rusical! That means the pressure is on for the queens to perform vocally, dance, and act and ultimately slay as they get ready for the show. And what better guest judge than West End stage legend Mazz Murray, alongside the panel including Graham Norton, Michelle Visage, and RuPaul.

The Iris Affair

9pm on Sky Atlantic
Anyone afraid of insects will want to fast-forward as the sixth episode starts, before something of a Mexican (or rather Sardinian) standoff ensues, when Cameron forces Iris to swap her diary for the hostaged Joy – else she’ll be “riddled with bullets” from the threatening drone controlled by Meski … How to get out of this one?
