However, the atmosphere turns much more somber as Vinnie (Gilgun) and the crew barricade themselves in a pub with gangster Davey MacDonagh for a final 50th installment apparently inspired by the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

But the penultimate episode of this at first slow-moving but ultimately compelling series about phone hacking sees Nick, portrayed by David Tennant discovering details about the actions of the News of the World that the other media outlets simply can’t ignore. Things are also looking up for Dave, who has a surprising new ally.
