Recent Information Emerge Concerning the Finding of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner's Bodies

New information has come to light about the tragic demises of renowned film director Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Brentwood, Los Angeles property on Sunday.

The Initial Report

A source indicates quoting a confidential source, a massage therapist scheduled for an session initially became concerned after failing to get inside the residence. The therapist then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

When she went into the residence, Romy discovered her father's body. It is said she then left the home distraught, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. Her roommate who had accompanied her then dialed 911. Afterward, first responders discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

The police have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of premeditated murder, as well as the use of a dangerous weapon, reportedly a knife. He is presently detained without bail.

Disputed Reports

The confidential informant also disputed several initial details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick lived in a guesthouse on the estate, she did not identify him as a suspect at that juncture.

Furthermore refuted circulated notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been particularly "worried" about Nick's behavior in recent weeks. The source claimed the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction also extends to descriptions of reportedly "unpredictable" conduct by Nick at a gathering held by Conan O'Brien on the night before the bodies were found. Although the source stated they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "scolded" his son at the party, they asserted that reports of a "blow-up" between the two were inaccurate.

Ongoing Inquiry Details

As stated by law enforcement sources, the medical examiner had not yet established at that point whether the Reiners died on Saturday evening or on Sunday. Some media reports noted the state of their bodies pointed to they had been dead for a number of hours.

Nick Reiner was apprehended at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, about 15 miles from the residence. He was scheduled to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had a medical issue and would be unable to attend until Wednesday or later.
