Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev won his first trophy for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has had a torrid year, managing just a single victory at the major tournaments and undergoing a meltdown at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in especial - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with former coach Gilles Cervara.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested competitive triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks his initial title following the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface since March of 2023.
The win also indicates Medvedev has won 21 victories at 21 various tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a competition with my two daughters together, so to get a trophy is really nice," said tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six finals, featuring in Halle previously this season.
His defensive approach and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted commentators to doubt if his ability to compete at the highest level was finished.
However the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and perform positively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
The champion came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, winning 4 of the last five games to go ahead.
The competitors traded break points in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden tour victory, gained dominance to force a decider.
Moutet defended four early-game chances in a close final set before the Russian broke to 15 to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the win with a shot at the net area, with his opponent incapable to control a return after over two and a half hours.
